May their squishy glory embrace you in eternal hugs. All hail the squish god!

Poor, terrified fellow human Chad. This is certainly something new from you. I like it! Any chance Person McPersonface might hang around a while?

Shane-Frost responds:

Probably. Apparently they quickly became an unofficial mascot for the Amazon warehouse, so I may do something more with them.

Oh man, I would play the hell out of this. Great job with the design, I could immediately recognize you were going for an EarthBound vibe, especially with the trippy background and text boxes. Just looking at this makes me want to press the A button. I think it's the blinking arrow in the upper right.

JohnnyTwoByFour responds:

Thanks so much! Glad you appreciate the design, I wanted it to be as precise as possible!

The lighting and perspective on this are really well-done! It gives her an imposing, towering appearance, and it looks like the air itself is starting to heat up from all the fire she's tossing around. Her expression is a good mix between sad and determined, and I also like the way you've got her clothes flowing around her, and just the few subtle liberties you've taken with her appearance in general, like the nail-claws on her feet and her horns being a bit more pronounced. The only thing that strikes me as noticeably odd is that she kind of looks like she's wearing red mascara. It doesn't look particularly wrong or bad, just maybe out of place or even only unexpected, given the cooler tones of her outfit when it's not surrounded by monster-fire.

Is this a thing? Like a thing that exists beyond this one picture? Because I like this. I'd like to see more of this. You've got an interesting color palette here, and their attitudes are well-conveyed. And is that strawberry going to explode?

Animudio responds:

HAHA! Thanks so much for this comment! Made my day! As much as I want this to be a thing, I'm currently working on my webcomic cloudJUMPERS over on Tumblr. Who knows! Maybe they'll make a cameo!

P.S. Yes those are Strawberry Sugar Bombs ready to explode!!

Tis truly the noble sibling who will trade his dignity for his sibling's joy.

And Ghost Fox hugs are effing adorable!

Hm… so, for clarification, say we have an OC in a certain fandom. You won't do anything directly of them, or in that fandom's style, that much is clear. But would you be willing to do something inspired by that character? Basically the… I don't know a better way to put it, "callmedoc-verse" version of them, or some idea they make you think of? Because I'd be totally thrilled to participate in this, but I want to give you a good idea to work with.

Shane-Frost responds:

Indeed. I have actually worked on a nothingness version of fandom characters before such as a sonic OC, however I am very upfront about this as well because of miscommunication once or twice leading to the presumption the character in question would look anywhere familiar to a pre-established style.

Well, this is just freaking adorable. In a slightly terrifying way. Which is the best way! And let me guess - by "carpet safe," she meant "*only* carpet-safe," right? Like, they should all be very glad she wasn't on wood, or marble?

Damn, why can't it be this easy in real life? Ah well, great work as usual. I don't think you've had a single page of this comic yet that hasn't gotten a chuckle out of me!

So, does "yet to conclude" mean you're still working on it? Because this is really good stuff. It's a story that's been done before, true, but something about the way you tell it makes it really engaging. Maybe because it's more along the lines of introspective and thoughtful instead of just angsty. Still, discontinued or not, you've created more fine work for everyone to enjoy!

Shane-Frost responds:

Correct, I am still working on it and plan to conclude the story soon enough. Currently it rests on 64 pages but will be wrapping up. I thank you kindly and aye, I'm hoping the story is just a nice little romp than eye roller.

People are friggin' WEIRD.
