Despite having no previous idea as to what any of this is about, I'm already fascinated by the character design and writing. I know a *very* little bit about 3D modeling and animation, so I can also appreciate the great detail on the models and their movements. One problem I did see was some penetration between some of the objects - in this case, Rayvazevexine's claws and the desk and her own body. Also, the voice acting was great, and Ms. Grattan has a lovely voice. Overall, very good, very interesting.

Tanadrine-Studios responds:

I think I have a solution for the clipping issue (IE: unwanted penetration of two entities such as a character's limbs on a desk), so I'll be utilizing that solution in the future to reduce the amount of clipping that happens overall. Rayva's rig will get a small upgrade before she is featured next for better stability as well.

Fun fact: Did you know Grattan appeared on Star Trek Voyager? :)

Thanks for the input!

Programmable hallucinogen. Pretty cool. Needs more animation on the ponies, methinks.

Also, I don't see a link to the Pinkie Launcher's maker's dA...

TheWitchBoi responds:

I got all the pictures off of Funnyjunk.com , I don't know who made that!! Sorry :I

Cute and funny! Especially the chew-toy squeaky noises. The only thing that could've been improved was the sound - her exclamations didn't seem to *quite* match with her actions. There wasn't a major lag or anything, but I think they could have used some tweaking.

Can we expect to see a certain other, currently-in-progress animation here on NG once it's been completed?

Flamingo1986 responds:

Good catch! The sounds are a bit off aren't they? And oh yesh - "Double Rainboom" will definitely grace Newgrounds along with deviantART and YouTube once it's ready to be released.

So yeah, audio synch. It was also a little hard to distinguish some of the lyrics towards the end, but they're just fast, not garbled or anything. I'd say you've got a really good shot with this.

Two questions: how long did this take you, and is this your song?

Irascka responds:

Thanks!
It is my song, and it took around 10 days to write the lyrics and music. The flash took around 20 days. The whole thing, about a month.

They're Coming from the Side!?

Dammit gravity, you don't work that way!

Really, this was a great flash, but the beginning just seemed too similar to cobra0528's Tetris'd. Of course, when the blocks started coming from a different direction and you got some (real?fake?) 3D in there, it got much more interesting.

I'd say, if there is a next time, try making more of it with 3D (you don't need to include the bullet-time), and have the blocks come from above, below, left, right, in front and behind.

Arch-Angel responds:

that's an excellent idea... I'm learning Maya now, which is a 3d animation sofware, and this would be a perfect canidate for a first 3d movie. thank you!

BOOM!

I see where Ed's coming from, but the Saiba Men are more like brusselsprouts, really...

Double-D lost his hat? And you showed it?! WTF?!?

Also, what do you mean, "for the first time since 'The Ed-touchables'"!?
(No, seriously, what do you mean? If I recall correctly, that episode turned out sucky for them.)

Silliness aside, more of the same review-wise: cheesey dialog, but interesting story. Then again, this is half-DBZ, so I guess that's right on track. Good job.

SSJ5G responds:

Double-D losing his hat is inevitable in a crossover like this. I had no choice.

Also @ the Ed-touchables: At the end of the day, they still got to taste the Jawbreakers.

Um...

I believe the technical term is "mindf**k".

But still highly enjoyable!

The only possible suggestion I could make is that Ananas' lines should all be in French, but then that would make it hard to execute the teleport joke, wouldn't it?

Great and original about sums it up.

Bobert-Rob responds:

Yeah, probably should've had more french in there, but some of us didn't know a lick of french, so that complicated that one a bit. It turned out about as french as it was going to get, I guess. I'm glad you enjoyed this mindf**k though, I appreciate you watching!

Suprisingly Good

I'm not a huge fan of this sort of random killing flash, the blood seemed a little over the top, and the soundtrack was flat-out abrasive to listen to, but it was actually pretty entertaining.

From a technical standpoint, it was great, and pretty clever, too. I know the violence is an inherent trait in something like this, so there's no point in asking that to be changed, but I would suggest trying to find a different type of music to use.

Figter responds:

i know but im not sure what music that would be....

Unfortunately...

I can't rate it because it won't load for me. Is anyone else having this problem?

Officer responds:

Could be a problem, I can see it just fine however :\

Priceless

Okay, now THAT'S funny. Someday, I'm going to find one of those Santa Guys and ask him what he actually does in a situation like that.

Or, is this based off of real life? :D

SaltyPeach responds:

Sadly not. Good luck with your quest though. Tell me the results after.

People are friggin' WEIRD.
