Based on your description, she sounds like a creator deity, which I find to be an extremely interesting concept, given that she is apparently not a generic, overall goddess or a goddess of creation, but a goddess of direction and motion. There was stillness, until Ushnar gave direction to the the stillness, and it became Something. You always come up with the coolest concepts.

Incredible! This must have taken quite a while. Is it meant to be hung up? I've heard that trying to hang something big enough made from Perlers is hard because it tends to fall apart. Is that what the crayon backing is for?

Excellent work!

Glugglor responds:

Yes, it is currently hanging on my wall. I hot glued the perler beads to the canvas, which worked out nicely. I made a short making of video. I just added the link in the description.

The simple fact is, no one really "grows up." Time passes, you age, you take on responsibilities either because you want to, you think you must, or to remove the burden of responsibility from others, but you are forever the same you. You merely gain experience and adapt as needed. The goal is always to survive, nothing more, nothing less. If happiness and contentment can be gained along the way, all the better, but if you don't survive you can't get those things later.

Still, it's not as depressing as it sounds, because there's a secret others don't want you to realize - as long as you answer to the powers that be, everything else is irrelevant. Pay your taxes, follow the law, listen to your boss, respect your loved ones. These are things you must do. But everyone else? They only have the power you give them. Deny them a say, cast out their opinions, and you gain a freedom of sorts. They can be unhappy with the child you were, they can even attempt to discourage it, but they cannot truly stop it. And even then, you'll never be alone, because there are too many people in the world. Somewhere, there will be someone who has let their child out too, and together you may play to your hearts' content.

Shane-Frost responds:

Indeed your words are quite correct in the statement and provide a truth I would wish crept among other's hearts. I speak upon the themes of sadness and restriction, the cautionary of being bound, whilst your own provides the alternative back drop and main point of all. Indeed we never do grow up. We either branch ourselves out or bind ourselves down but these by all means are simply mechanisms of social construct. I thank you well for your mentioning and time. You are wished well.

Princess Catbaths is just going to be getting *aaaaaaallll* the royal action, isn't she? Funny as hell as usual. Is there some kind of significant difference between the cats that can speak English and the ones that can't?

I am a total EarthBound nut, and damn if these things don't look factory-made! It might be some time before I can get the scratch, but I'd buy them! Can we look forward to more EB goodness eventually?

Cloesy responds:

thank you! It'l be a while until these are released ahah
and yes! some day I will be making a mobile sprout figure as well!

Perhaps the most heartwarming moment between a girl and an (in?)animate pile of rocks the world has ever seen!

You've got a LOT of good stuff going on with this comic as a whole. It's got your unique style, both in art and writing, and its absurdist/oblivious/slightly-sociopathic humor keeps me laughing. Please, keep up the wonderful work!

Shane-Frost responds:

Well I'm humbled and glad you can enjoy it, and hey, even give some insight about your experience with it thus far. Here is hoping that it continues some good times! Thanks for your time and words. :)

Quoth many a wise man:

"To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing."

You speak wisdom, as usual. But please remember that some of your something is happiness which comes from the people who love your art. There's a lot of somethings out there, but your something is something else.

Heh heh heh. I love the big guy's smugness. Playful and triumphant, but not super-obnoxious. The little guy's face helps cement the playful tone, too. Less life-and-death, and more "humph." I think even the gash and the blood look somewhat comical just because of their attitudes. Great work as always!

*Takes a look.*

It's not *that* poorly drawn.

This is watercolor, right? It's amazingly fitting for the style, and you did a fantastic job with the lighting. While I find that show-accurate proportions are difficult to nail down sometimes, what you have here instead works really well. There's a great deal of flow in the lines here, and it generally directs the eye to all parts of it in equal measure, which is a good thing, given the overall quality. Don't know if I'd be able to buy it, but I'd be proud to have it on my wall!

bloominglove responds:

Haha Thank you. Yeah, I did notice the odd proportions when I first started drawing MLP. The Heads are as big as their bodies. lol But, like others, I started to tweak the style into my own. :)

People are friggin' WEIRD.
